We love our Volunteers

Special occasions like a high school prom should be accessible to all young women who wish to enjoy them, and not just for those with enough resources.

Our success only comes with the help of YOU! Making these young womens’ prom dreams come true is completely impossible without YOU. We have many ways you can be involved: -Volunteer at dress donation: accept donated dresses, inspect dresses, set up racks and displays, transport newly donated dresses to storage spaces, take inventory of dresses, etc. -Volunteer at dress giveaway: register girls, be a “personal shopper,” sort and display donations, set up and break down displays, etc. If you want to be more involved, we need year-round assistance.

What this includes is coordinating fundraising events, keeping inventory, cleaning & repairing donated gowns (if necessary), find donating contributors, partner with hair stylists, and anything else you can think of that will help make these girls’ dreams come true.

If you don’t have any dresses or the time to volunteer, but you still want to help out, we can always use monetary donations. Your money would go toward transporting & storing the dresses, purchasing displays and hangers, and purchasing inventory in sizes we need more of so everyone can be a part of Maria’s Closet

Fundraisers

We are always looking for fun ways to raise money.

Check out our last event - Adult Prom!

With special thanks to our incredible sponsors, board members and guests. The generosity expressed at Adult Prom 2018 allowed 64 young women in our community the reality of Prom.  That is 64 girls who, without you, would not have been able to achieve their dreams.

Thank you to all who came out to make dreams come true, build self-esteem and empower those in need!

Please be our next big sponsor and host an event today.
